Guidemate X-Track 2D Advanced Excavator Control System
Request a Quote
The Guidemate X-Track 2D Advanced Excavator System combines live bucket guidance with GNSS heading for directional slopes and dual-grade surfaces. Australian-designed for practical excavation workflows, it helps operators work to the required depth and slope without a 3D model.
Machine-mounted sensors continuously calculate bucket position relative to an established reference height. GNSS heading accounts for the excavator’s direction, helping maintain the required grade as the machine changes orientation.
Add an optional stick-mounted laser receiver to re-establish height using a rotating laser after moving the excavator.
Key Features
Live Bucket Guidance
See the selected bucket point’s distance to grade in real time. Follow clear on-screen guidance to approach the required surface and reduce repeated manual depth checks.
GNSS Heading for Directional Grades
Account for machine direction when working on slopes, crossfalls and dual-grade surfaces. GNSS supplies heading information while the system uses the established height reference and entered grades for excavation guidance.
Two Ways to Reference Height
Establish a reference using the bucket, or use the optional stick-mounted laser receiver with a rotating laser to provide an external height reference.
Move and Continue Working
After repositioning the excavator, re-establish height using a shared reference point or the optional laser receiver. Continue digging with the same grade settings.
No 3D Model Required
Set the reference height, enter the required offset and grades, and follow live bucket guidance. A straightforward workflow for flat excavation, slopes and surfaces that fall in two directions.
System Components & Technology
Control Terminal
A high-brightness touchscreen displays live bucket position, distance to grade and slope guidance through a clear in-cab interface.
Machine Sensors
Sensors measure boom, stick, bucket and body angles to calculate bucket position relative to the established grade.
GNSS Heading
Dual GNSS antennas provide machine orientation information for directional slopes and dual-grade work.
Height Referencing
Establish height using the bucket. To transfer the reference when moving, measure the same point before and after repositioning the excavator.
Optional Laser Receiver
A stick-mounted receiver works with a rotating laser to reset the height reference after moving, without returning the bucket to the previous reference point.
Built for Productivity
X-Track 2D Advanced is suited to trenches, drainage, footings, foundations, pads with fall, batters and compound slopes. It builds on a familiar 2D workflow with machine heading and flexible height referencing, helping operators maintain grade as the work progresses.
