The Guidemate X-Track 2D Basic Excavator System provides simple, real-time depth and slope guidance for everyday excavation. Australian-designed for practical site work, it helps operators dig to grade without GNSS or a 3D model.
Machine-mounted sensors calculate bucket position relative to an established reference height. Set the required depth or offset, enter the slope and follow clear on-screen guidance from the cab.
From trenches and footings to batters and site preparation, X-Track 2D Basic helps reduce overcutting, material waste and repeated manual grade checks.

Live Bucket Guidance
See the bucket’s position relative to the required grade as you dig. Clear depth and cut and fill information helps you progressively approach the target surface.
Simple Height Referencing
Place the bucket on a known point, record the reference height and enter the required depth or offset. Establish the level you need without a GNSS base station or digital site model.
Grade and Slope Guidance
Work to flat levels or entered slopes for trenches, batters and drainage. View the bucket’s relationship to the required surface directly on screen.
Practical Height Transfer
Transfer the height reference by measuring the same point before and after moving the excavator, then continue working to the required grade.

Control Terminal
A high-brightness touchscreen displays live depth, slope and cut and fill guidance in the cab.
Machine Sensors
Machine-mounted angle sensors track excavator movement to calculate bucket position relative to the established reference, without requiring GNSS.
Manual Slope Entry
Enter slopes in percentage, ratio or degrees and follow the on-screen guidance to excavate to the required surface.
Height Referencing
Use known points and completed work to establish and transfer the height reference as excavation progresses.
